Kono Lounge Review
Kono Lounge is a very nice and aesthetically appealing Myrtle Beach nightclub. The club is actually located inside the restaurant through a tunnel which was very interesting. The club has a huge following with the international crowd coming in all the time. One thing that really stands out about Kono is that they take care of service members with an active duty ID, by allowing them free admission to the club.
Drinks
Kono Lounge has 2 full bars serving inside the club itself with one located in the restaurant portion. They have a wide variety of drinks available. Everything you’d expect from imports/domestics are available.
Atmosphere
The Kono Lounge has recently been remodeled and it shows. There are gigantic light displays on the walls inside the club. There are six televisions and a ten foot projection screen behind the main DJ booth that displays psychedelic randomizations synced with the music. There are booths for the go-go dancers high above the dance floor and it’s open to ladies that visit the venue. All of this comes together seamlessly for a one of a kind nightlife experience.
Seating
Kono has plenty of seating available in the first floor portion of the club and more available in the VIP lounge upstairs. There are ropes that separate the VIP seating on the first floor from the dance floor but it doesn’t detract from the overall atmosphere.
Restrooms
This is the largest surprise at Kono; the restrooms are very small compared to the size of the club. There are alternative restrooms available if you walk through the restaurant, but the ones located inside the club are very small and the lines can be quite long.
Security
Kono has in-house security available and they’re quick to stop any type of altercation.
Kono Lounge is one of the top spots in Myrtle Beach if you’re looking for an upscale club to have a good time at. This place has been revamped from the ground up and it definitely shows. The music is loud, the drinks are cold, and the people are beautiful. If you’re hungry for a late night snack you can head into the restaurant until 1 am before hitting this Myrtle Beach nightclub. Stop in and check it out when you can, you won’t be disappointed.
