Welcome to Brawl at the Beach!

OHSO & EGO (Eastside Gaming Organization) would like to present the first of many game tournaments to be held in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are going to change the way game competition is, not only here in Myrtle Beach, but across the country; starting with the nightlife. We’re teaming up with the locals, businesses, and the charity CASA (Citizens Against Spousal Abuse) and giving them 10% of all our proceeds.

Prize Payout will be 70/20/10 + including prizes with no less than a $250 value!

Special notes about Brawl at the Beach:

Two DJ’s will spin the tracks with the EQunox party (expect to hear some video game mixes!) NOTE: Request the Guile theme!
Specials on sushi and and hibachi! Get your grub on!
Go-go dancers
This is a nightclub so ladies and gentlemen will be looking good.
2nd floor VIP and all VIP areas reserved for the tournament including it’s own bar!

Location:

The event will be held at Kono Lounge which is located 1 block from the ocean. Please check out this review to find out everything you need to know about the venue and logistics.

Fees:

Venue + 1 Game = $10
Venue + 2 (All) Games = $20
Ladies Free until 12AM. But if they wanna play, they gotta pay!

NOTE: A percentage of the earnings will be going to the local charity CASA.

Volunteers:

If you have a monitor, game, X360, cables, controller, etc. you would like to bring to the event, please contact us. There will be areas to set up for casual matches and games as well. If you plan on doing this, please email the tournament organizers ahead of time. We have all VIP areas reserved for system setups for everybody and for private parties.

We would like volunteers to help with running brackets. If you would like to volunteer please contact any of the tournament organizers below for details.

Registration:

In order to be eligible you must be 18 or older. This event is being held at a nightclub. You must have a valid drivers license, military ID, or government issued form of ID.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!
We request that you secure your spot in this tournament prior to the night of for seeding purposes. Please follow the link below to purchase tickets and save your place. Those that do not RSVP will be subject to an additional charge at the door.
The tournament starts at 10PM EST, so please have all your equipment ready to go prior.

*Online registration will end 17 November 2011, all entrants must then pay at the door and will be subject to a $2.50 administrative fee per entry.

Rules:

Venue Rules:
You must be 18 or OLDER to enter the venue and join the tourney (there will be 13+ in future tournaments).

Please dress nice/fly/casual, but don’t come in the venue looking or smelling like a hot mess. This is an upscale New York style nightclub. Ladies and Gentlemen will be checking you out. Our bodyguards are not afraid to hold you down and spray you with Old Spice.

BYOC: Please bring your own controllers and fight-sticks for your own personal use. Please label your belongings to prevent theft.

Please keep all drinks off the game stations. This ensures no damage to any equipment.

Game Rules: Standard EVO Rules

Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition
-2/3 Rounds 99 seconds
-2/3 Matches (3/5 for Winners, Losers and Finals)
-Double Elimination
-Winner keeps the same character and the loser may pick a different character.
-Winners are able to change Ultras, but only before the opponent chooses their Ultra.

Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3
-2/3 Rounds 99 seconds
-2/3 Matches (3/5 for Winners, Losers and Finals)
-Double Elimination
-Winner keeps the same teams, assist, and assist order
-Loser may change teams and assist

General Rules:
- Don’t try to drink if you’re not of age.
- Take a shower beforehand.
- If you want to eat, you may do so before 1am.
- If you miss your place in the tournament due to fault of your own, you may be rescheduled if time permits but it isn’t guaranteed.

Summary:

If you want to get a few warm-up games in before the tournament, have your own setup you want to bring, or want to get your ticket for entry into the first game (SSF4:AE) please come around 9PM. If you’re here for UMvC3 then you can hang out and check out the club. Brackets will be generated at 9:45PM for SSFIV:AE and started for UMvC3 at 11:30 PM.

NOTE: Please note that these times are just estimations. The each game or the tourney could last longer than expected.

Breakdown:

9PM-9:45PM: Casuals & Registration

10PM: Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Begins

The games will begin for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.

11PM-11:30PM: Break & finishing the brackets for UMvC3

(This will be a break time for players to enjoy themselves, participate in any contests going on, and enjoy the club and nightlife.)

11:30PM: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

The games for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will begin.
